Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka, Minister of Industry and Trade Mr. Jiří Havlíček, Czech Invest Director Mr. Karel Kučera, Mayor of the Moravian-Silesian Region Mr. Ivo Vondrák, Mayor of Ostrava Mr. Tomáš Macura, Mayor of Mošnov Mr. Radomír Bodzsar, Head of Strategic Development of the City of Ostrava Mr. Václav Palička, former Mayor of Ostrava Mr. Petr Kajnar and the highest representatives of the company Hyundai Mobis from Korea, Nošovice and Mošnov attended a tour of the headlamp production plant in Mošnov.
Part of the event was to plant a memorial tree in front of the main entrance to the company.
During the meeting, the need to build a by-pass of the city of Frýdek-Místek was discussed, as well as a simplification of the work permit granting process for Korean specialists. The prime minister, among others, told reporters: "I have assured the investors that the completion of the Frýdek-Místek bypass is a clear priority for the Czech government."
Mass production of headlamps at the Mošnov plant was launched in April this year. Currently, we employ about 350 employees, and we plan to employ another 50 employees by the end of the year. The production is set only at 23% of the capacity of the plant - we are now producing Hyundai Tucson headlamps, and in the autumn we will start producing headlights for the Kia Sportage.
